The DSWAI's first of a series of farm wall workshops deemed a big success.

Last month the DSWAI teamed up with National Organic Training Skillnet to run a number of 1 day workshops for farmers, to encourage & give hands on practical advice on how to maintain, repair & build dry stone walls.

The first of these was last weekend (April 1st) at Mc Evoy’s Quarry, Ballyknockan, Co.Wicklow. The workshop was a sellout with with participants rebuilding a section of farm wall using local granite.

Similar workshops have been organised in Sligo, Donegal and Tipperary over coming weeks. Spaces are filling up quick so be sure to book your place soon if you are interested in attending.
