Drawing Walls for National Drawing Day 16.05.20

Join us on Saturday 16 May 2020 for National Drawing Day!

Every year, the National Gallery of Ireland—together with dozens of museums, galleries, libraries and cultural organisations all over the island of Ireland—encourages people to get drawing with a jam-packed day of free events for people of all ages.

The DSWAI is delight to get involved this year and we thought why not get creative and at the same time showcase the beauty of Ireland's Dry Stone Walls and buildings.

So young or old and everyone in between, we encourage everyone to get creative and get involved. Draw, Paint, Doodle your local dry stone wall or check out some of the pictures below of some of Ireland's dry stone walls and structures for inspiration.

Share your drawings with us! We want to encourage you to explore all the different possibilities of drawing from the comfort of your home or garden. Drawing and painting dry stone walls is a fun activity for all ages.

Make sure to tag your own creations so we can see all of the nationwide creativity!

Be sure to tag your creations with the hashtags #IrishDryStoneWall #NationalDrawingDay #DSWAI and well share all your dry stone wall creations here on our website after the event.
